The proposed park is to be located on property owned by the Bay Area Rapid Transit District and Oak Hill Capital Corporation and leased to the County (Exhibit A) . On August 2, 1994 the Board approved the Ground Lease with BART. The BART portion of the pocket park is approximately 75% of the acreage, and the Oak Hill portion is approximately 25%. A general summary of lease terms is included as Exhibit B. A steering committee has been formed and a landscape architect has been engaged to complete the planning and design work. The Board of Supervisors has previously authorized the expenditure of up to $195, 000 in County Park Dedication Funds to cover the cost of park development. No other funds are involved. The "Project, " as the term is used above, includes the execution of a Ground Lease with BART, and an adjacent property owned by Oak Hill, and the development/construction of the Pocket Park.
