Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute the application for reissuance of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit for Contra Costa County Sanitation District No. 5, and pay the annual fee. II. Financial Impact: None III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: It is a State requirement that NPDES Permits be renewed periodically. The permit for Sanitation District No. 5 is now due for renewal. The annual fee for the District's Permit is $750.00. The permit was previously approved by the Regional Water Quality Control Board on September 20, 1989. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: Without application approval, the County will be in violation of NPDES requirements.
