RECOMMENDED ACTION: A. ACCEPT transfer of $1,497.77 in Midnight Basketball League program funds from the Housing Authority of the' County of Contra Costa, as outgoing fiscal agent, to the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA, as lead agency. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: No Housing Authority funds are involved. Funds transferred fron the Housing Authority to Mt. Diablo Region YMCA are Midnight Basketball League program funds. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa was notified by the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA, on September 26, 1994, that the YMCA had signed a Memorandum of Understanding to become the lead agency for th'e Midnight Basketba'l'l League program. The Housing Authority served as the fiscal agent for this program from ;November 16, 1992 through August 31, 1994. At the request of the YMCA, the $1,497.77 in Midnight Basketball League program funds have been transferred to the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA. As you know, the YMCA has agreed and signed a Memorandum of Under- standing to become the lead agency for this program. The Mt. Diablo Region YMCA will also enter into a contract with the National Midnight Basketball League program. Pursuant to these agreements it is my understanding that there is still $1, 497 .77 in this account. I understand these monies will be forwarded and payable to the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA in the near future. These funds. will continue to be assigned and utilized for the Midnight Basketball League program.
