No. 75-93 at their meeting on October 25, 1993.

BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAFAYETTE
IN THE MATTER OF:
Supporting Measure B as an ) RESOLUTION NO. 75-93
advisory vote on November 2, )

WHEREAS, Lafayette residents, concerns regarding the use
of assault weapons have grown because of the many assault
weapons being used across the nation as well as in our
communities; and
WHEREAS, residents have had few opportunities to express
their concerns on the subject of banning assault weapons.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lafayette
hereby supports a "yes" vote on Measure B, ad advisory vote,
on the November 2, 1993 ballot which reads: "Shall the State
of California Ban the Sale, Manufacture, Transportation and
Possession of all Assault Weapons?"
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Lafayette City Council at a
regular meeting on October. 25, 1993 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Grodin, Tatzin, Uilkema
and Mayor Talan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: Councilmember Samson
