Because of these conditions, we would expect the normal level of service of 3 fire fighters per engine company. However, we have heard reported from our Commission that only 2 of our engine companies have the necessary 3 fire fighters per engine. Therefore, we request that the Board authorize this minimal level of service to see Orinda through this critical season. Our citizens are especially apprehensive when the media is stressing all the additional staffing precautions being exercised by our neighboring communities. Thank you for a prompt reply.
