BACKGROUND: There are currently several vacancies on the Homeless Advisory Committee. None of the candidates who have applied fit the categories for which there are vacancies . We are, therefore, recommending that we be authorized to recruit both through a press release and directly among those groups for which we have vacancies for candidates . We would then like to screen and/or interview those applicants and make recommendations to the Board for appointments based on the results of this process .
