RE: Request for appointment of Election Board
Section #50700 of State Water Code requires that reclamation
district elections have election boards, one inspector, 2 judges,
appointed by action of the county Board of Supervisors.
Reclamation District 799's Board of Trustees has named the
following landowners within the district to act as its Election
Board during the November 2 , 1993 , election of two trustees, and
requests the Board of Supervisors to appoint the named as the
Election Board:
Joseph S. Spotts, inspector; Reginald Dunning, judge
Lynn S. Jochim, judge; David Dal Porto, alternate
The Water Code does not mention an alternate on the Election
Board, but the RD-799 Trustees thought one was necessary in case
of an excused absence of one of the named Election Board members
on election day.
Thank you,
Robert D. Gromm, chairman/secretary
