Trustee Chairman Primo Facchini went to the City .of Danville to get an exemption to take the Alamo Cemetery off the tax role. Received a letter from the City of Danville in June of 1992 stating that parcel number 197-005-0, Lafayette-Alamo Cemetery District should be listed as Lighting & Landscape use code 79 (government property) and be removed from the towns Lighting &.Landscape District. Donated $100 to help with the cost of refreshments. The Trustees are looking into the possibility of acquiring the piece of property next to the Alamo Cemetery which is now owned by.Mrs. Ormsby. We have not been able to make contact so the trustees are considering bringing a condemnation action, after further review of our legal position and how such purchase would be funded.
