HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01261993 - MR.1 MR.1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUN'T'Y, CALIFORNIA DATE: January 26, 1993 MATTER OF RECORD --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBJECT: Hillside Homes Group Incorporated, MS 206-90, Walnut Creek area Mr. Edward Patmont, Hillside Homes Group Incorporated, 184 Rudgear Drive, Walnut Creek, 94596 appeared and advised the board that he had met with the neighbors who are objecting to MS 206-90 and that he wished to keep the board informed on what he is doing to gain approval for the project. Mr. Patmont was advised that since the Board has granted a reconsideration hearing, the appropriate time to bring these matters to the Board' s attention is at that hearing. Supervisor Bishop offered the assistance of her office in setting up further meetings with the neighbors in response to Mr. Patmont' s comment that only a few neighbors attended the meeting he had set up to discuss the matter with them. THIS IS A MATTER OF RECORD. NO OFFICIAL BOARD ACTION WAS TAKEN. The County actually issued a Building Permit for this house and then subse- quently rescinded the permit after I had incurred large expenses for engineering, architecture, utilities, fees and actual con- struction work. I have pursued the reinstatement of this Build- ing Permit because it was absolutely wrong for the County to have acted in the manner that they did. I have scheduled a neighborhood meeting at the time and place below in order to discuss the problems and concerns you have with this one additional homesite: Date: January 14, 1993 (Next Thursday) Time: 7 :30 pm. Place: Jewish Community Center Classroom No. 5 2071 Tice Valley Blvd. Walnut Creek, California Note: Classroom No. 5 is located in the righthand building as you approach The Center from the main gate. I am now proposing a moderately sized single story split level house above a garage. I would very much appreciate getting as much input from the surrounding neighbors as possible.
