SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
A. ACCEPT Grant of Easement dated December 22, 1992, from Finley-Tassajara Corporation.
B. DIRECT the Real Property Division to have above-referenced Grant of Easement recorded
in the Office of the County Recorder.
II. Financial Impact:
None.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background
Finley-Tassajara Corporation is donating to the County property rights necessary for the
relocation of a utility pole as partOf the Camino Tassaiara road widening project.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The project will not have sufficient land rights to allow construction in accordance with approved
plans and specifications.

GRANT OF EASEMENT
THIS INDENTURE, made by and between FINLEY-TASSAJARA CORPORATION, a California
corporation, hereinafter called the GRANTOR, and CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, a political subdivision
of the State of California, hereinafter called the GRANTEE,
WITNESSETH :
That the GRANTOR, for value received,'hereby grants to the GRANTEE a perpetual easement and right
of way for the purposes of constructing, reconstructing, removing, replacing, repairing, maintaining,
operating and using, for utility purposes, such poles, aerial wires, cables, electrical conductors with
associated crossarms, braces,transformers, anchors, guy wires and cables,fixtures and appurtenanc-
es as the GRANTEE may see fit, in, over, and across that certain real property in the County of Contra
Costa, State of California, described as follows:

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, all and singular, the rights above described unto the GRANTEE and the
GRANTEE'S successors and assigns forever.

EXHIBIT "A"
Real property in an unincorporated area of Contra Costa County, California, being a portion of the
southwest quarter of Section 33, Township 1 South, Range 1 East, Mount Diablo Meridian,
described as follows:
A portion of that parcel of land described as PARCEL TWO in the Quitclaim Deed from Emerald
Homes, an Arizona general partnership to Emerald Holdings California, Inc.,a Delaware corporation,
recorded March 21, 1990 in Volume 15732 of Official Records at page 364, further described as
being a 5.00 feet wide strip of land, the centerline of which is described as follows:
Commencing on the west line of said Section 33 at the 1-1/4" iron pipe designated CT-22 on the
map entitled "A Precise Section of the Streets and Highways Plan, Contra Costa County, Camino
Tassajara" (sheet 12 of 13) recorded June 6, 1980 in.Volume 9874 of Official Records at page 236;
thence along the existing centerline of Camino Tassajara, south 77°59'29" east 187.02 feet, to STA.
375+56.49 E.C." as shown on said map (9874 O.R. 236); thence continuing along the centerline of
Camino Tassajara, south 77°59'29" east 89.51 feet; thence leaving said centerline, north 12°00'31"
east 25.00 feet, to the north right of way line of Camino Tassajara, the Point of Beginning of said
5.00 feet wide strip of land; thence from the Point of Beginning, north 12°00'31" east 10.00 feet, to
the terminus.
Said strip of land is bounded on the south by the north right of way line of Camino Tassajara and
bounded on the north by a line bearing south 77059'29" east through said terminus.
Said strip of land contains an area of 50 square feet of land, more or less.
Bearings and distances are based on the California Coordinate System Zone III (C.C.S. 27).
Multiply given distances by 1.0001054 to obtain ground distances.
