SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND 'JUSTIFICATION Resolution No. 93/ 25 RECOMMENDATIONS Approve and Establish the below stated recommended salary waiver policy and procedure for full-time employees and officials . BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS Recently, it has been indicated that there is interest in establishing a procedure pursuant to which Contra Costa County and Board of Supervisors ' governed special district and agency employees, officers and officials could voluntarily, unqualifiedly and irrevocably waive their rights to receive future earned salary (compensation) . For this reason, it is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve and establish the following policy and procedure for the waiver of salary (compensation) : 1 . Voluntary, Unqualified and Irrevocable. Only waivers that .are clearly voluntary, unqualified and irrevocable as a waiver of the right to receive specified future salary (compensation) will be accepted. 2 . Form. Only individual (completed) waivers received in a format and form prescribed by the Auditor-Controller and approved by the County Counsel will be honored. 3 . Coverage.
