APPROVAL OF THE 1993 CECRP CONTRACT BETWEEN THE COUNTY AND THE DEPART-
MENT OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY ( CONTRACT # 90-CECRP-013)
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)6 BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION
APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE the Community Services Director or her
designee, to execute the 1993 California Energy Conservation
Rehabilitation Program Contract (Number 90-CECRP-013 with the
Department of Economic Opportunity in the amount of $88 ,546.
II . FINANCIAL IMPACT
N/A. Funding for this Contract for the period of July 1 , 1992 ,
through June 30 , 1993 is already reflected in the Department's
1992-1993 budget. Funding for this contract for the period of July
1, 1993 , through August 31 , 1993 will be reflected in the Departme-
nt's proposed 1993-1994 budget. No County funds are involved with
this request.
III. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION
A decision not to approve this contract would result in the loss of
needed weatherization and home energy services to eligible County
residents.
IV. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDED ACTION
This Contract provides a total of $88,546 in funding which will be
used to provide weatherization and home energy services to program
eligible County residents for the period of January 4, 1993 ,
through August, 1993 .
The Contract will be reviewed and approved by the County Counsel as
to form prior to being signed and d to the State.
