SUBJECT: Intention to Purchase Real Property
for East County Government Center
Southeast Antioch Area
Project No. 7566-6D8409
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
It intends to purchase from the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water
Conservation District for the future East County Government Center, the real property
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and as shown on Exhibit "B", for $425,700.00, in
accordance with the terms and conditions of the Board Orders approved December 15,
1992, by the County of Contra Costa and the Contra Costa County Flood Control and
Water Conservation District (Agenda items 1.112 and 1.24),which is a fair and reasonable
price therefor.
This Board will meet on January 11, 1994 at 9:00 a.m. in the Board's Chambers,
County Administration Building, Martinez, California, to consummate this purchase and
the Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to publish the following notice in the Contra Costa
Times pursuant to Government Code Section 6063.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County declares its intentiori to
purchase from Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, at
a price of $425,700.00, approximately 7.009 acres of land located southwest of Neroly
Road at Laurel Road in the southeast Antioch area and more particularly described in
Resolution No. 93/712 of the Board and will meet at 9:00 a.m. on January 11, 1994,
in its Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, to
consummate the purchase. '

PARCEL X-72: (X-72 Fee Take)
A portion of the East 1/2 of Section 34 Township 2 North, Range 2 East Mount Diablo Meridian,
being a portion of those parcels granted to Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water
Conservation District parcel number 1 (1454.2) recorded August 23, 1990 in Book 16068 of Official
Records at page 298 and parcel number 1713.1 recorded January 5, 1993 in Book 18179 of Official
Records at page 299 records of Contra Costa County, California described as follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of said PARCEL 1713.1 (18179 OR 299); thence from the
Point of Beginning along the southeasterly line of said PARCEL 1713.1 south 59011'14"west 427.02
feet; thence leaving said line north 34046'46" west 590.00 feet; thence north 8003'58" east 177.93
feet; thence north 55013'14" east 305.00 feet to the southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad 100 feet in width right of way as described in the deed to the San Pablo and Tulare
Railroad recorded January 30, 1872 in Book 22 of Deeds at page 510 records at said County;
thence along said southwesterly line south 34°4646" east 750.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing an area of 305,315.23 square feet (7.009 acres) of land, more or less.
Bearings are based on the California Coordinate System Zone III (C.C.S. 27).
EXCEPTING THEREFROM, all oil, rights, minerals, mineral rights, natural gas, natural gas rights, and
other hydrocarbons by whatsoever name known that may be within or under the parcel of land
hereinabove described,together with the perpetual right of drilling, mining, exploring and operating
therefor and removing the same from said land or any other land, including the right to whipstock
or directionally drill and mine from lands other than those hereinabove described, oil or gas wells,
tunnels and shafts into, through or across the subsurface of the land hereinabove described, and
to bottom such whipstock or directionally drilled wells, tunnels and shafts under and beneath or
beyond the exterior limits thereof, and to redrill, retunnel, equip, maintain, repair, deepen and
operate any such wells or mines, without, however, the right to drill, mine, explore and operate
through the surface or the upper 500 feet of the subsurface of the land hereinabove described or
otherwise in such manner as to endanger the safety of any public facility that may be constructed
on said lands.
RESERVING unto Ronald E. Nunn, his successors, and assigns:
A temporary 50.00 feet wide easement for access to Ronald E. Nunn's remaining lands, to expire
upon completion of planned construction of Sunset Road, being the most northeastern 50.00 feet
of said PARCEL X-72.
