Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors

Dear Board Members :
The Joint Planning and Operations Committee is
continuing the process of planning and developing
Hap Magee Park. Phase I is now virtually completed
and limited uses of the area are planned early
next year. We recommend that the budgeting process
for Phase II now be started.
At the committeeets meeting on October 27 there
was discussion of possible improvements and their
estimated costs . The result was a motion as follows :
"that the JPO reccomend to the Danville Town
Council and to the County Board of Supervisors that
we proceed with Phase II of Hap Magee Park; that
such procedure involves an anticipated. budget of
1 .4 million dollars ; that expenditures will occur
in the next two fiscal years and that further planning
and priorities will be set during the process . "
Approval was unanimous .
A detailed recommendation will be made in -June 1994
after additional planning and setting of priorities .
Sincerely
Ronald C. Crane
