Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors 651 Pine Street, Martinez, CA 94553 Dear Board Members : The Joint Planning and Operations Committee is continuing the process of planning and developing Hap Magee Park. Phase I is now virtually completed and limited uses of the area are planned early next year. We recommend that the budgeting process for Phase II now be started. At the committeeets meeting on October 27 there was discussion of possible improvements and their estimated costs . The result was a motion as follows : "that the JPO reccomend to the Danville Town Council and to the County Board of Supervisors that we proceed with Phase II of Hap Magee Park; that such procedure involves an anticipated. budget of 1 .4 million dollars ; that expenditures will occur in the next two fiscal years and that further planning and priorities will be set during the process . " Approval was unanimous . A detailed recommendation will be made in -June 1994 after additional planning and setting of priorities . Sincerely Ronald C. Crane Chair The Joint Powers Organization for the development of Hap Magee Ranch Park meets the fourth Wednesday of each month. It is comprised of two members from Danville and two from Alamo plus afifth"at large" member. This committee is charged with planning the first phase of the park, which is located at 1025 La Gonda Way, Danville. Guests are invited to speak when recognized by the Chair.
