HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12141993 - H.8 H. 8 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on December 14, 1993, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Smith, Bishop, and Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor McPeak ABSTAIN: None ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- SUBJECT : Hearing On Rezoning Application 2987-RZ, Final Development Plan 3008-92, Bellecci and Associates And CBM, Oakley Area . On November 2, 1993, the Board of Supervisors continued to this date the hearing on the recommendation of the East County Regional Planning Commission on the request by Bellecci and Associates (applicant) and CBM (owner) for approval to rezone approximately 47 . 7 acres of land from Single Family Residential District (R-15) and Planned Unit District (P-1) to Planned Unit District (P-1) (2987-RZ) ; and for approval of a Final Development Plan for 180 lots and a 2 . 05 acre park on a 47 . 7 acre site (DP 3008-92) in the Oakley area . Dennis Barry, Community Development Department, presented the staff report on the Cook Battery site and commented on a memo from the Health Services Department before the Board, and he commented on improvements that had been discussed with the neighbors and exploration with the applicant of amending the development application to include a density bonus which would allow an increase in the number of units in exchange for including low and moderate income housing on the site . He advised that the applicant is interest in pursuing that solution. Mr. Barry recommended that the Board refer the matter back to the Planning Commission for consideration of a modification of the proposal as outlined. Supervisor Torlakson concurred with the referral and to have issues including improvements on Malicoat and the park location looked at also . On recommendation of Supervisor Torlakson, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that Rezoning application 2987-RZ, Development Plan 3008-92 are REFERRED back to the East County Regional Planning Commission with modifications as recommended.
