SPECIFIC REOUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATIONS)6 BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION Recommended Action: Pursuant to Education Code Section 35765 order a change in school district boundaries of the Lafayette and Orinda Union school districts as reflected in the legal description of the changed district boundaries =attach-e hereto as EkT_h'_�i A- and incorporated herein by reference. Background: On November 17 , 1993 the Contra Costa County Committee on School District Organization adopted Resolution 93/94-1 approving the transfer of territory from Lafayette School District to Orinda Union School District upon the petitions of at least 25 per cent of the registered voters residing in the territory prepared to be reorganized. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,by the Contra Costa County Committee on School District Organization that the petition to transfer school district territory from the Lafayette School District to the Orinda Union School District be approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Superintendent of Schools be notified of petition approval.
