We were assessed the supplement taxes that became due on the property. The amount we paid was $559 . 98 thru 6/94 (refer to closing statement) . The old tax basis was around $299, 000, our purchase price was $256, 000 . We feel we should only owe property taxes on the tax basis of our purchase of $256, 000 . We feel we are due a refund on the supplemental taxes since we paid in advance to 6/94 and our tax basis is lower than the previous owner. We appreciate your immediate attention to this matter since we are first time home buyers and all of our monies went into purchasing the home . Please let us know of your decision.
