Johnson ) For His Dedicated Service ) Resolution No. 92/ 763 To Law Enforcement in the ) Richmond California Police) Department Upon the ) Occasion of His Retirement) Whereas, Arthur L. Johnson began his Richmond California Police Department career May 16, 1967, was promoted to sergeant in 1973, was promoted to Lieutenant in December 1982, attended the National FBI Academy in 1984 and was promoted to Captain in August 1984; and Whereas, Art has been commended many times throughout his career by organizations and citizens alike for his outstanding service; and Whereas, he is a Deacon, Trustee and member of the male chorus and mass chorus at St . John Missionary Baptist Church of Richmond; and Whereas, he is active. in many community and professional organizations including the National Forum of Black Public Administrators, and Kiwanis; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County that Captain Arthur L. Johnson be commended for his 25 years of devotion to the Richmond community and the greater West County area where he has distinguished himself; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Captain Arthur L. Johnson, his wife, two children and grandchildren enjoy his retirement years in good health and great happiness .
