HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11031992 - 1.1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY,CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on November 3, 1992,.by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson and McPeak NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None RESOLUTION NO. 92/733 (Streets & Hwys Code § 1704) SUBJECT: Relinquishment of Giant Highway, in the City of Richmond (STR & H.C. §1704) On May 24, 1988, the Board of Supervisors, in connection with the West County Justice Center project, adopted Resolution No. 88/302, declaring the portion of Giant Highway described therein, and described in Exhibit nk attached hereto, to be a county highway. The Board also declared its intention to relinquish said county highway to the City of Richmond upon completion of the construction and upon obtaining the necessary right of way. NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 1. This Board hereby finds all improvements commenced by the County within that portion of Giant Road described in Exhibit "A" have been fully completed, and; 2. The County has acquired title to said right-of-way by Final Order of Condemnation, and; 3. This Board hereby declares that the portion of Giant Highway, described in - Exhibit "A is no longer a county highway, and; 4. The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be filed in the office of the County Recorder and a copy to be filed with, the Clerk of the City of Richmond, pursuant to Streets and Highways section 1704, and; 5. Ten days after said filing with the City Clerk, said portion of Giant Highway shall cease to be a county highway.
