HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10271992 - 1.31 1 . 31 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Declaring ) November 7 , 1992, as LEIGH ) RESOLUTION NO. 92/ 721 STEINBERG DAY in Contra Costa ) County ) Leigh Steinberg, America's leading sports attorney, is being honored with the "All American Award" by the Mt. Diablo Hospital Foundation at this year' s Red & Gold Ball. We would like to take this opportunity to honor this outstanding negotiator and humanitarian for the contributions he has made to Contra Costa County and the Bay Area. Mr. Steinberg' s clients are a who' s who of professional athletes, and his talents are sought nationwide. He not only provides the athletes with the encouragement to be positive role models but expects each of his clients to give to their community. His approach is unique and the results he achieves are tremendous-- clients have donated over $30,000,000. We are pleased that Mr. Steinberg' s award coincides with the grand opening of the Health & Fitness Center of Mt. Diablo Medical Center. Not only is he an Honorary Trustee of the Hospital Foundation; but upon Mr. Steinberg' s suggestion, the proceeds from the Red & Gold Ball will go directly to the Center, which will greatly reduce health care costs for the citizens of Contra Costa County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors declares November 7, 1992, as LEIGH STEINBERG DAY in Contra Costa County.
