SUBJECT: ADDITIONAL WORK PURSUANT TO CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT
FOR MISCELLANEOUS SOILS INVESTIGATION
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
EXERCISE the option to provide additional work pursuant to Paragraph 14 of the Agreement
between Contra Costa County Public Works Department and Kleinfelder, Inc., dated June 18,
1991, to provide miscellaneous soils investigation for various projects throughout the County.
II. Financial Impact:
This action will increase the total amount allowed under the Agreement from $50,000 to
$55,469.92. No general funds will be required; all charges are against specific project accounts
under Roads and Flood Control.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The additional work was required in conjunction with the removal of underground tanks at the
Richmond Corporation Yard and Phase II work for the San Pablo Creek Project.
