D. AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to charge the project by journal entry the sum of
$850.00 and credit the revolving fund monies for the same amount advanced by the
Contra Costa Transportation Authority.
II. Financial Impact:
Payment totalling $3,996 to be made from the State Highway 4 Bailey Road Interchange project
funds which is 100% reimbursable from Contra Costa Transportation Authority.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The Claimants resided at dwellings from which they were displaced because of the interchange
project. The payments are part of the relocation entitlement required by Government Code §
7260, et. seq.
On September 8, 1992, the Board approved the same relocation claims from Kirk & Melody
Humbert. Subsequently, the Humberts have executed a Letter of Agreement regarding Division
of Benefits giving Kirk Humbert 100% of the funds due. The original checks totalling $3,146,
have been returned uncashed for cancellation.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
County will not be in compliance with state and federal law.
