SUBJECT: HEARING ON THE REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY, (FILE 12940-RZ) (Hasseltine
Best - Applicant) (Lee i Bette Vinson - Owner) IN THE DANVILLE AREA.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) i BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
Deny the request to rezone the subject property by taking the
following actions:
1. Accept the environmental documentation as adequate.
2. Deny application 12940-RZ rezoning 33.08 acres from Exclusive
Agriculture (A-20 to General Agricultural (A-2) .
3 . Adopt the attached findings contained in the resolution of the
San Ramon Valley Regional Planning Commission as the basis for
the Board of Supervisors action.
DISCUSSION
This item was heard by the San Ramon Valley Regional Planning
Commission on October 3 , 1991 at which time the Commission
recommended denial of the rezoning request. The basis of the
recommended denial of the applicant's rezoning application is that
the project site is in the Tassajara area which has been known to
be subject to ground water shortages and development would be
incompatible with zoning on adjacent properties
