HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01211992 - 2.2 2. 2 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on January 21, 1992 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson and McPeak NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBJECT: Hearing On Appeal of Symat Hillside Homes on MS 206-90 in the Walnut Creek Area. On January 14 , 1992, the Board of Supervisors continued to this date the hearing on the appeal of Symat Hillside Homes (appellant) from the decision of the Contra Costa Planning Commission Board of Appeals on the request of Symat Hillside Homes (applicant and owner) for approval of a tentative map to divide 1. 83 acres into three lots in the Walnut Creek area (MS 206-90) . Supervisor Schroder advised Mr. Patmont of his intention to return this matter to the Planning Commission for further consideration. Edward Patmont, Symat Hillside Homes, 184 Rudgear Road, Walnut Creek, requested that the Board provide direction to the Planning Commission. Victor Westman, County Counsel, clarified that if the minor subdivision is to be approved, the Planning Commission should be asked to make recommendations as to the configuration of the two lots. Supervisor Schroder commented on receiving input from the Planning Commission, and he advised that with respect to the 51,000 square foot lot that he wished to have the Planning Commission advise the Board as to where they feel a second lot could be created. Supervisor Schroder moved to keep the public hearing open and return the matter to the Planning Commission with his comments. Mr. Westman recommended continuing the matter to a date certain. Supervisor Schroder amended his motion to return the matter to the Board of Supervisors on March 3 , 1992. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the above matter is REFERRED to the Contra Costa County Planning Commission for review and recommendation on the configuration of the potential second lot; and the public hearing on the above matter is CONTINUED to March 3 , 1992 at 2: 00 p.m. in the Board chambers. cc : Community Development Dept .
