Count DATE: January 27, 1992 SUBJECT: APPOINTMENTS TO THE RETIREMENT BOARD AND MEETING WITH THE RETIREMENT BOARD SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS: 1 . Reappoint to the County Retirement Board for another full three year term expiring June 30, 1995: Donald A. Boltz 25 Julianne Court Walnut Creek, CA 94595 2 . Agree to meet with the Retirement Board at a mutually convenient time this spring or summer to discuss issues of common interest. 3 . Authorize the Internal Operations Committee to meet with the Retirement Administrator to make arrangements for the date and time of the meeting between the Board of Supervisors and Retirement Board and to plan the agenda for such a meeting. BACKGROUND: In the summer of 1990 the Board of Supervisors and Retirement Board had a very successful and worthwhile joint meeting at which a number of issues of mutual concern and interest were discussed. Our Committee believes that a similar meeting this year would be equally worthwhile. We are, therefore, suggesting that such a meeting be planned again for this spring or summer. We are also pleased to reappoint Mr. Boltz to another full term on the Retirement Board, based in large part on the outstanding work he had performed and the commitment he has shown as is reflected in the attached memorandum from the Retirement Administrator.
