BACKGROUND: One of the most pressing capital needs the County has is for remodeling, expansion or replacement of Juvenile Hall . Senator Presley has introduced SB 269 which would place on the ballot a bond issue of $300 million for such juvenile facilities . While it appears that there is not support on the part of the Leadership or the Administration for such a bond issue in 1992, we believe that it is essential that the Board of Supervisors continue their support for such a measure, in hopes that more adequate funding of juvenile facilities can be provided for at the earliest opportunity. We are, therefore, recommending that the Board of Supervisors indicate its support for SB 269 .
