The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, California
Adopted this Order on_December 15, 1992 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers, Torlakson, Schroder
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisors Fanden, McPeak
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Reaffirmation of Abatement Order
The Board on September 8, 1992, held a hearing on the abatement of real property at 311 First
Avenue, Pacheco;William Smith, owner. At the conclusion of the hearing,the Board adopted Resolution No.
92/603 granting jurisdiction to the Building Inspection Department providing for the abatement of the subject
property if it has not been cleared as ordered within 90 days of the hearing date. Further,the Board requested
a status report from the Building Inspector confirming or denying improvement or progress on the site.
The Board considered the report dated November 20, 1992, of the Building Inspector advising that
there has been no appreciable progress at 311 First Avenue, Pacheco, and that the Department will proceed
to accept demolition bids.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the Building Inspector is DIRECTED to'proceed with the
abatement in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 92/603 dated September 8, 1992.

The property remains in almost the identical condition it was in at
the time of the hearing on September 8, 1992 . Mr. Smith is still
full of assurances but so far there is no appreciable progress.
The time on the abatement is ended about December 15, 1992 . If
nothing has happened by then, this department will proceed to
accept demolition bids.
