The Authority is aware that other jurisdictions have :raised additional issues which the current version of the Ordinance does not address. Given the vast concern which needs to be addressed, the Authority recommends that if the Board approves the Materials Diversion Ordinance on December 15, that it commit to assuring that the unresolved: issues are considered and resolved; that.this-resolution be assigned to a Board Committee working in concert, with: a committee consisting of a broad representation of the solid waste franchising agencies; and that there be satisfactory closure of this issue within six months of the Ordinance becoming law.
