SUBJECT:Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-372-1 to amend an Unpaid
Student Training Agreement with California State University Statewide
Nursing Program
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Chair to- execute on behalf of the County,
Contract Amendment Agreement #22-372-1, effective October 1, 1991, to
amend Unpaid Student Training Agreement #22-372 with California State
University Statewide Nursing Program (effective April 1, 1991 through
June 30, 1995) for clinical experience for nursing students.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
III. REA ONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
On September 17, 1991, the Board approved Unpaid Student Training
Agreement #22-372 with California State University Statewide Nursing
Program. This agreement provides California State University
Statewide Nursing Program students, who are all R.N. Is working on
advanced degrees, with the opportunity to integrate academic
knowledge with application skills while providing services for some
of County's patients.
Unpaid Student Training Agreement #22-372 provides nursing students
with clinical experience in County's Home Health Agency. Approval of
Contract Amendment Agreement #22-372 expands clinical experience
opportunities to include all areas of the Department.
