The proposed schedule for the Highway 4/Bailey Road Improvements
calls for the completion and certification of the EIR by May, 1991
with right-of-way acquisition to be completed by December, 1992 and
construction to be completed by December, 1994.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION
Without authorization for the contract amendment, the project
cannot proceed. CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act)
requires that an environmental impact assessment be completed.
