MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: October 22, 1991 SUBJECT: Approve Contract Change Order No. 7 (Balancing) for the Appian Way Widening Project Project No. 0662-6R4288-84 Specific Request(s)or Recommendation(s)&Background&Justification L Recommended Action: APPROVE Contract Change Order No. 7 (Balancing) in the approximate amount of $17,000.00 and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute it in order to compensate the contractor for final quantities used on the project., II. Financial impact: The project contingency funds are sufficient to cover this cost. It is funded by Federal Highway Administration Funds (FAU 86%) and Local Road Funds (14%). III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: This change order will balance quantities allotted with quantities used. Since the combined total of change orders for this project exceeds $25,000.00 Board Approval is needed. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: Lack of APPROVAL would preclude payment to the contractor for work done.
