Rydingsword, Director g s Social Service Department County Tom` DATE: October 3, "1991 SUBJECT: Approve State Department of Aging Standard Agreement #TC9091-07 (County #29-500) Allocating Tax Check-Off Funds SPECIFIC REOUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECOMMENDED ACTION Authorize Director Office on Aging, or his designee to execute and sign State Standard Agreement #TC 9091-07 (County #29-500) in the amount of $2, 499. 00 These funds can be used for priority services under Title IIIB of the Older Americans Act and must be expended or obligated by December 31, 1991. II. FINANCIAL No County match required. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND Contra Costa County Office on Aging has received new funding to be used for priority Title III-B services under the Older Americans Act. These funds must be expended or obligated by December 31, 1991. Funding is available from state income tax check-off contributions to the California Fund for Senior Citizens. The Advisory Council on Aging is in the process of making recommendations for allocation of these funds.
