IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Honoring )
YOUTH HOMES on the Occasion ) RESOLUTION NO. 91/ 660
of Its 25th Anniversary )
Youth Homes is a United Way sponsored agency that is committed to
serving the needs of abused, neglected, and delinquent children by
providing comprehensive quality group home treatment programs and
services that promote the well-being of individuals, families, and
the community. This is the mission of Youth Homes, and this month,
this exceptional organization is celebrating 25 years of operation.
Youth Homes has seven facilities in their East Bay Region--two are
for temporary out-of-home placement; and the other five provide
long-term care and offer preemancipation, emancipation, and family
reunification programs. The agency's efforts have allowed the
troubled children of our community to learn to view themselves and ,
others as worthy of respect and trust through the group home
environment.
Youth Homes is truly an indispensable asset to Contra Costa County,
and we are all fortunate to benefit from their programs and
services. Our children are the future, .and we thank and commend
Youth Homes for providing a safe place for our troubled children to
develop into healthy adults.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors honors
YOUTH HOMES on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and extends
best wishes for continued success.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON October 15, 1991, by a unanimous vote of the
