HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10151991 - 1.14 /y IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Honoring ) YOUTH HOMES on the Occasion ) RESOLUTION NO. 91/ 660 of Its 25th Anniversary ) Youth Homes is a United Way sponsored agency that is committed to serving the needs of abused, neglected, and delinquent children by providing comprehensive quality group home treatment programs and services that promote the well-being of individuals, families, and the community. This is the mission of Youth Homes, and this month, this exceptional organization is celebrating 25 years of operation. Youth Homes has seven facilities in their East Bay Region--two are for temporary out-of-home placement; and the other five provide long-term care and offer preemancipation, emancipation, and family reunification programs. The agency's efforts have allowed the troubled children of our community to learn to view themselves and , others as worthy of respect and trust through the group home environment. Youth Homes is truly an indispensable asset to Contra Costa County, and we are all fortunate to benefit from their programs and services. Our children are the future, .and we thank and commend Youth Homes for providing a safe place for our troubled children to develop into healthy adults. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors honors YOUTH HOMES on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and extends best wishes for continued success.
