From: he ley gh RE: NEW PATIENT FINANCIAL
Personnel Services Assistant SERVICES SPECIALIST POSITION
(Spanish speaking)
This is a request to add one full-time Patient Financial Services Specialist
position flagged for Spanish speaking.
For quite some time now the out patient census at the Richmond Clinic has been
increasing with no signs of decline. To ease the workload caused by patient
increase and to provide interpretive services, a temporary PFSS was hired in
December, 1989. The fact that this temporary has worked full-time since,
demonstrates the need for a permanent position both to meet staffing needs and
to avoid potential employee relations issues. As we have budgeted for a tem-
porary to cover the workload, there will be no increased cost for this position.
Additionally, this position, as all Patient Financial Services Specialist posi-
tions, is revenue-generating.
Please place this item on the next available Board agenda: If you have any
questions, I can be reached at 313-6620.
