Officer SUBJECT: Attached P-300 -- Cancel 2 20/40 positions; add 1 40/40 position Attached is a P-300 to cancel two 20/40 positions and add one 40/40 position. The resulting full-time position will be assigned to the Control/ General Accounting Section of the department. At the present time there are two 20/40 positions in the department, One of which was in the Control/General Accounting Section. The other 20/40 position is a remaining half-time position, following 31 positions transfer of the hospital accounts receivables to the Hospital in July. These two half-time positions have been difficult to utilize and we have found it difficult to . appoint and retain an employee on a half-time basis. After reviewing our needs, the workload in the Control/General Accounting Section, which involves daily cut-offs and deadlines, .has grown to a point where a full-time position is needed. The activities in this section include the County Finance System, deposit permits, counter warrants, trust accounting and fixed asset accounting. This action will .meet the staffing requirements of the section and provide a more efficient and effective use of the FTE position. Please contact me if further information is needed.
