BICYCLE and PEDESTRIAN SAFETY PROJECT
POSITION DESCRIPTION
PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAM SPECIALIST I
1. Recruit, develop and coordinate a statewide advisory board of injury
experts;
2. Develop materials, procedures, and policies for replication of the bicycle/
pedestrian project;
3. Maintain contact with local policy makers;
4. Provide regional and technical assistance on bicycle/pedestrian safety;
5. Supervise all other project staff;
6. Monitor the project activities and budget;
7. Design evaluation scheme based on project objectives;
8. Track progress of project activities;
9. Develop baseline information on bicycle helmet usage in the County.
