MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: February 26, 1991 SUBJECT: COUNTY HOSPITAL ANNEX ACQUISITION - RELOCATION - MARTINEZ AREA Project No.: 6553-6X5383 Task: ACQ Account: 4033 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. Recommended Action: A. APPROVE the Relocation Assistance Claim and Relocation Agreement made by Monnie McNew and Keith Riddle. B. AUTHORIZE the County Principal Real Property Agent to sign the Claim and the Public Works Director to sign the Agreement form on behalf of the County. C. AUTHORIZE the County Auditor-Controller to issue a check payable to Monnie McNew and Keith Riddle, 230 Brown Street, Martinez, CA 94553, in the amount of $6,000 to be forwarded to the Real Property Division for delivery. Il. Financial Impact: Payment of $6,000 from Merrithew Hospital Enterprise Fund. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: Payment is for relocation assistance obligation required by Government Code Section 7260, et seq. resulting from the County's purchase of the land and improvements located at 331 "C" Street, Martinez, in which claimant resides, for the expansion of Merrithew Hospital. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: County would be in noncompliance with State law.
