DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES FOR MRT POSITION
On the weekend shifts the MRT will function primarily in a lead capacity.
The following are the primary duties that will be performed.
-Train and orient new employees,
-Plan, assign and review the work of clerical staff
-Monitor incomplete medical records and ensure completion by the appropriate
care providers
-Answer questions from health care providers requesting information
On. the weekday evening shift, when there will be double coverage, the second
MRT will focus primarily on technical duties, allowing the Monday through
Friday MRT todevote more time to lead responsibilities. The following techincal
duties will be performed by the new position.
-Assign diagnostic and. procedural codes for billing and statistical
indices
-Work the Vital Statistics Desk
-Responsible for release of information on evening shift
Prepare Outpatient Surgery Charts for the following day
