SF-468 AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION I. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 3619 approving superseding Part I and New Part II of the Section 8 Housing Certificate Program Annual Contributions Contract No. SF-468, as amended, and authorizing the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners to execute said amendment, as recommended by the Advisory Housing Commission. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Contract authority for the Section 8 Housing Certificate Program, on 301 dwelling units, will be extended to October 31, 1996. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The Housing Authority has received notification from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that Project CA39-EO11-002 of the Section 8 Housing Certificate Annual Contributions Contract No. SF-468, which was scheduled to expire on November 25, 1991, has been extended to October 31, 1996. This Annual Contributions Contract project gives the Housing Authority contract authority for dwelling rents and administrative fees for 301 dwelling units. In order to secure these five additional years for the 301 dwelling units covered under Project CA39-EO11-002 of the Section 8 Housing Certificate Program, it will be necessary for the Board of Commissioners to adopt Resolution No. 3619. At its regular meeting on Monday, November 25, 1991 the Advisory Housing Commission, by consensus, recommended adoption of a resolution approving the amended Annual Contributions Contract and authorizing its execution by the Chairman of the Board. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Should the Board of Commissioners elect to not adopt Resolution No. 3619, the Housing Authority would lose all funding for the 301 dwelling units under Project CA39-EO11-002 of the Section 8 Housing. Certificate Program on November 25, 1991.
