DATE: November 21, 1991 SUBJECT: Acceptance of Anne Crisp's Resignation from the Private Industry Council SPECIFIC REOUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)A BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECON14MED ACTION: 1) Accept the attached resignation from the Private Industry Council of Anne Crisp. 2) Instruct the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy in accordance with Board policy and State requirements. 3) Direct the PIC Executive Director to solicit nominations from labor organizations in accordance with federal and state JTPA legislation and regulations. 4) Refer the vacancy to the Internal Operations Committee for appointment. 5) Issue Certificate of Appreciation from the Board to Ms. Anne Crisp for her services to the County on the PIC. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. One hundred percent federal 'funds. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROMM: Due to a change in work assignment, Ms. Anne Crisp has resigned her union membership and is no longer eligible to sit on the PIC as a labor representative. Ms. Crisp was nominated for PIC membership by the Central Labor Council. She was first appointed to the PIC by the Board on October 27, 1987. She has been an exemplary member of the PIC and eloquently and consistently presented the view point of organized labor.
