SUBJECT: Approval of reallocation of CDBG Contingency Funds and amendment to
existing agreement.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the reallocation of $1, 811.00 from the Community
Development Block Grant Program, Contingency and amendment to
agreement with Delta Community Services increasing the payment
limit from $15, 000. 00 to $16, 811. 00 for activity 17-33 .
FISCAL IMPACT
None
BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
Delta Community Services, Inc. operates a community center in a
building owned by the City of Brentwood. The building was built 12
years ago with the assistance of CDBG funds. The building needed
a new roof and the County allocated $15, 000 from the HUD Block.,
Grant Program towards this project. The City picked up a portion
of the costs as well. The project encountered additional costs
because of unforseen asbestos abatement required when removing the
old roofing material. This amendment will offset some of the
additional costs.
