SUBJECT: Welfare Reform Proposal
In its review of the request of the Social Service Department for a Social
Services Fraud Prevention Manager and investigators, Board members commented on
the welfare reform program being proposed by the Governor.
On recommendation of Supervisor Powers, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that
the County Administrator is REQUESTED to analyze the Governor's proposed welfare
reform program as well as County proposals for welfare reform for report to the
Board and subsequent referral to an appropriate Board committee.
