OSta fir•. •i�a5 DATE: County October 31, 1990 FrA ��uN SUBJECT: PROPOSAL TO SAN FRANCISCO FOUNDATION: PARTIAL FUNDING CHILDREN'S COORDINATOR SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION. RECOMMENDED ACTION Authorize the Social Service Department Director to submit and sign a grant application for project funds to be awarded by the San Francisco Foundation. The Youth Services Board will use these funds for a full- service Interagency Children's Coordinator contract. FINANCIAL IMPACT The grant, if received, will be•awarded in the amount of $25,000 a year for three years. $25,000 County funding is required for fiscal year 90/91 which will be prorated among participating departments. BACKGROUND Contra Costa County's Youth Services Board is proposing to implement a Family-Centered Services Delivery System that builds on investments and activities of the past few years, but also represents significant steps forward in developing, reorienting and coordinating services to the County's children and families.
