Services, CSA1 EM=1 i ) RESOLUTION NO. 90/704
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County Resolves
. That:
This board by its Resolution No. 90/608, dated September 18,
1990, proposed the consideration of whether certain services were.
extended services .for the ,purposes of the County Service Area Law,
and whether they should be approved as additional types of
extended services which could be provided within County Service
Area No. EM-1 ( ".CSA EM-1" ) or a zone thereof. - After giving
notice of the hearing 'as required by law -and as specified by
Resolution No. 90/608, a public hearing on this, matter was held
on _Tuesday, October 23, 1990, in the Board of Supervisors
Chambers . At the time of this hearing, the Board heard all,
persons wishing to testify or protest. After hearing all persons
wishing to testify and receiving any protests, this Board closed
the hearing and after passing upon any protests made, found that
any protests filed did not constitute more than 50% of the
registered voters or ,the owners of one-half or more of the value
of land and improvements within CSA EM-1.
This Board further finds, determines and directs the .
followings
1 . 'That itsproceedings, this hearing, and other actions
taken in accordance with Resolution No. 90/608 were and are valid
and in conformity with the requirements of Chapter 2 . 2 . (Govt. .
C. , §§ 25210 . lff . )
2. That the services of police protection to provide
essential law enforcement and the miscellaneous service of public
health to protect and support children and families and
implementation of the Community Drug and Alcohol .Action Plan in
appropriate locations, library facilities. and services, animal
control, jails and road maintenance are hereby .determined to be
services that should be provided on an extended basis within
County Service Area CSA EM-1 .
. 3. That the services specified in paragraph 2 'above are,
specified additional types of extended services to be provided
within CSA EM-1 in accordance with law and to the extent funding
is available to support the provision of one or more of said
above-listed services. These services proposed for CSA EM-1 are
not presently being generally provided. to the same extent on a
countywide basis both within and without cities . Said services,
if. and when funded and provided, may be done by utilizing CSA EM71 zoneswhere appropriate.
