HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10231990 - 1.46 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Declaring Intent ) to Undertake Joint Planning with ) the City of Martinez and the ) Contra Costa Community College ) RESOLUTION NO. 90/ 707 District to Address Parking Needs ) and Government Offices in Downtown ) Martinez ) WHEREAS, representatives from the County, the City of Martinez and the Community College District have met to discuss future parking needs and government office planning in downtown Martinez; and WHEREAS, there are mutual benefits from cooperative planning in addressing issues common to all three agencies; and WHEREAS, the County is not able to allocate any funding for consultants or projects, it is recognized that the potential for outside funding of future projects in the downtown will be enhanced by a cooperatively developed, multi-juridictional plan for parking and other facilities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY that it is the intent of the Board to enter into a cooperative planning effort to study the alternatives and financial options for parking improvements and government facilities in downtown Martinez with the City of Martinez and the Contra Costa Community College District. PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board members present on this 23rd day of October, 1990 .
