SUBJECT: EXECUTION OF A HOUSING REHABILITATION SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
THE CITY OF ANTIOCH
SPECIFIC REOUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECONIlEMATION:
Approve the Housing Rehabilitation Services Agreement with the
City of Antioch and authorize the Chair to execute said
agreement.
BACKGROUND:
A. City will receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) as an entitlement to the City pursuant to the
provisions of Title I of the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974, as amended.
B. The City has approved and authorized the expenditure of
Sixty Thousand dollars ( $60,000 .00) from said CDBG funds for
a housing rehabilitation program for owner-occupants of
single-family homes.
C. County has the demonstrated experience and qualifications to
operate a housing rehabilitation program under the Community
Development Block Grant Program.
D. The Building Inspection Department and County Administrator
recommend approval of the agreement.

E. When the agreement was originally approved by the -Board of
Supervisors, the Director of Building Inspection was
authorized to execute the . agreement. Since there is
currently no one acting as the Director of Building
Inspection it was felt best to formally designate the Chair
to execute this agreement.
