BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
Kaufman and Broad had requested a General Plan Amendment on the
Boeger Ranch .within the West Pittsburg Area. While the Board was
considering the Sea Breeze development (hill 310) , the Board of
Supervisors directed that the amendment area be expanded to cover
the entire Evora Road corridor. The change placed the amendment
area within the jurisdiction of both the East County R Tonal
Planning Commission and the County Planning Commission.

Since the requested plan amendments are all within the jurisdiction
of the East County Regional Planning Commission, it would appear
appropriate to have that commission hold the public hearing on this
matter.
While no significant changes are recommended for the lands within
the jurisdiction of the County Commission, the potential for such a
recommendation does exist. Should significant changes be proposed,
as determined by the Community Development Director, they should be
forwarded for an advisory report by the County Planning Commission
prior to the Board hearing. This would allow for a coordinated
response if required.
