Gilbert, Director of General Services ,s Costa Op �Pv County DATE: October 2 , 1990 SUBJECT: LEASE - 1019 CENTER AVENUE, MARTINEZ, CALIFORNIA SPECIFIC REOUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE a short-term Lease, commencing September 1, 1990, with Kaiser Foundation Hospitals for the premises at 1019 Center Avenue, Martinez, for occupancy by the Sheriff-Coroner, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease and AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE said Lease on behalf of the County. DETERMINE that the above project is a Class One Categorical Exemption ( 1) under the California Environmental Quality Act. DIRECT the Community Development Department to FILE a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk. II . Financial Impact: Lease payments are in, the budget of the General Services Department. III . Reasons for Recommendations/Background: The Agreement between Kaiser and Contra Costa County Dated September 19, 1989, for the relocation of the Central County Morgue requires the County to execute a short-term Lease to replace the existing Lease-Purchase Agreement.
