Eliminate the seat designated for the City of Concord. 2. Replace the City of Concord's seat with a seat designated for the Central Contra Costa County Transit Authority with a term expiring June 30, 1993. 3. Appoint to the seat designated for the Central County Transit Authority: Ms. Mallory Nestor 1990 N. California Avenue, Suite 100 Walnut Creek, CA 94596 4. Eliminate the seat designated for the cities of Danville and San Ramon. 5. Replace the Danville/San Ramon seat with a seat designated for the West Contra Costa Transit Authority with a term expiring June 30, 1993. 6. Appoint to the seat designated for the West County Transit Authority: Mr. Ron Serviss 953B San Pablo Avenue Pinole, CA 94564 7. Declare vacant the seat for the City of San Pablo, previously occupied by Mr. Joseph Egger. Direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to place on the Board's agenda for February 13, 1990 the appointment of Katheryne Duncan to the seat belonging to the City of San Pablo. 10.. Declare vacant due to death the at-large seat previously occupied by Robert S. Headley. 11. Appoint to the currently vacant at-large seat on the Council for a four-year term expiring June 30, 1993: Ms. Janet Abelson 7 Pomona Avenue El Cerrito, CA 94530 12.. Eliminate the seat designated for the Joint Facilities Authority. 13. Add one additional at-large seat with a term expiring June 30, 1993 to replace the one which was designated for the Joint Facilities Authority. 14. Declare vacant the at-large seat previously occupied by Beth Smith. 15. Direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to post the vacancy resulting from declaring Ms.Beth Smith's seat vacant. 16. Direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to place on the Board's agenda for February 13, 1990 the appointment of Mr. Vern Huffman to the seat previously occupied by Beth Smith. 17. Remove this item as a referral to our Committee. BACKGROUND: On January 16, 1990 the Board of Supervisors referred to our Committee the recommendations from the Paratransit Coordinating Council for changes in their composition and membership pending conversations with the Transpor- tation Authority regarding which agency should have the responsibility to determine the membership and composition of the Council. The Transportation Authority has now determined that the Board of Supervisors should retain this responsibility for the time being. As a result we are prepared to recommend that the changes requested by the Council in Mr. Serviss' letter dated November 29, 1989 be implemented. - 2 -
