promote self esteem within the program area of alcoholism, drug abuse,
mental health, and services to the elderly, women and children,
including programs within the church community. HSAC was to meet with
representatives of the various advisory boards as well as solicit input
from the community.
The attached includes: (1) A history of the actions taken by the
HSAC/Self Esteem Inventory Work Group to meet the Board of Supervisors'
assignment; (2) a description of the process developed by the Work Group
to inventory programs that promote self esteem; (3) the results of the
actions taken by the various Boards in reviewing those programs which
returned completed Inventory Forms; and (4) a series of recommendations
for review and actions by your Board.
